ABOUT LAUREN
My interest in photography grew at a very young age. My mom would buy me disposable cameras, and my sister would reluctantly agree to be my subject for my photoshoots. I grew up thinking photography wouldn't be an option as a full time job and pursued a degree in Health Promotion. I worked as a nutritionist, personal trainer, aerobics instructor, and eventually a Disease Intervention Specialist. I enjoy all things health related, and I'm a bit of a science nerd. While I enjoy health, my passion truly lies with photography. Once my children were born, I wanted to capture all the real, raw, candid moments so I could enjoy them even when the memories had faded. My husband and I decided I would stay home with our children, and this sparked a new interest for me...being able to grow my love of photography from a hobby to a full time career. I am beyond blessed to be able to do what I love as my career. It never feels like I'm truly working, and, most of all, I love working with my clients. It's important to me that I work closely with them to ensure that their visions come to life through my lens, and it allows my creativity to flourish.
We have three beautiful children. Badyn (pronounced Bay-den) is my 16 year old son that has an interest in photography, videography, and film studies. He's an incredibly talented young man, and I can't wait to see where this journey takes him. Sophia is our 5 year old daughter. She loves to draw, paint, color, and create. She also loves the outdoors. She's my little creative hippie, and I adore her. Kate is our three year old that is currently obsessed with Frozen, and the release of Frozen II only fueled it. She is a daddy's girl, and loves my amazing husband, Jason. He is supportive, loving, and an incredible husband and father. My family is my world, and photography allows me to capture my world and preserve these moments in time forever.
